For the past year and a half, Martin has dedicated himself to preparing for his upcoming race. In pursuit of success, he made the brave decision to leave his job and completely transform his life. With unwavering determination, Martin commits a minimum of 15 hours each week to intense cycling training, pushing his body to its limits.
Martin’s racing special is based on our standard Reason road bike model. However, due to the specific seating position and steering too for this type of race, we had to raise the front of the frame. We then tuned the sitting position with Pavel Štědrý. Together with Future cycling, we took the practical way of built a bike with wireless shifting. We appreciate that everyone in the project tries to listen to each other, and I think it will only lead to a well-tuned and well-prepared bike for this race.
Martin founded the Domestici team of dedicated people with a common goal: to guide him towards the finish line, ensuring his physical and mental well-being remains at its peak. In many ways, this mission mirrors the role undertaken by relatives of the terminally ill and dying. Their purpose is to assist their loved ones in reaching their ultimate destination, which is the peaceful end of life brought on by illness. They provide essential care, ensuring their comfort and offering unwavering support throughout the journey. In this liminal phase of existence, akin to a race, adequate preparation is crucial to navigate through it with dignity and grace.
