Okay. Here it is. Last weekend was very memorable. The Service Course hosted an event at their flagship store. It was all about incredible gravel rides, community, custom bikes, and beer (but vermouth too). All this in the mecca of cycling — Girona! This event was exactly what cycling is all about. Thanks to everyone for riding together, having talks and sharing the fun. The Service Course organised an exceptional event and we thank you for inviting us, we already can't wait for GiRodeo 23.

Girona is currently one of Europe's cycling hotspots, and frankly now we know why. Although it's hard to describe — it has to be experienced. It's the endless amount of routes on different surfaces, but most of all the community of people that make this destination special.

The event started on Thursday with a walk into the woods outside Girona, where we enjoyed drinks&tapas at the Mirador Can Pi restaurant and also a custom bike exhibition in the adjacent garden. Friday's day was marked by a ride around the coast, a snack stop on the cliffs and finished at Brewkins Brewery. Where in addition to great tapas and craft beers, there was also a live recording of The Social Distance Podcast with Sam Bewley & George Bennett.

Saturday was all about the Epic ride to the Pyrenees. 130km long gravel ride with more than 2500+ meters climbed offered besides a very fun mix of surface also refreshments next to the stone temple with great coffee from Oniria Cafe. It was the passage through the Pyrenees valley that made the ride special. In the evening there was a pizza party (and of course a beer party) right in The Service Course shop.

The last day of the event started with a morning espresso at Oniria Cafe and continued with a roll out for a unique yet easy going 60km route designed to be enjoyed on either road or gravel bikes.

Inspired by both ENVE’s flagship summer festival the Grodeo [Gravel Rodeo] and the long standing Gravel Bonanza series created by The Service Course Girona, the GiRodeo is an action-packed weekend of beautiful custom bikes and delicious craft beers. This is a Girona remix of a cult classic, an end of season celebration of all things bikes, beers and good vibrations not to be missed.
